Cameron Potts is the vice president of corporate communications for Deluxe. With nearly 30 years of communication experience, he oversees all internal and external communications for Deluxe and its affiliated companies, as well as the Deluxe Corporation Foundation. He has played a key role in helping communicate the company’s transformation to a Trusted Business Technology company through media relations, investor relations and internal communications. He has led a pivotal team dedicated to communicating with employees, customers and the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. He has twice been named a finalist for national communications professional of the year by PR News.
Part of Cameron’s duties at Deluxe have included leading all external communications for and help produce the Small Business Revolution, Deluxe’s online reality TV show in which yearly one small town receives a $500,000 makeover. Since the campaign launched in 2015, Deluxe has been featured in more than 3,500 media stories and gained well over 10 billion media and social media impressions. The show runs in Hulu, Amazon Prime and Smallbusinessrevolution.org.
Cameron is a seasoned public speaker, giving marketing, content and public relations presentations to organizations large and small across the country. Prior to joining Deluxe, Cameron was a vice president with Weber Shandwick, the world’s largest public relations company, where he worked for clients from the Mayo Clinic to the U.S. Army. Cameron began his career as a journalist, working for several publications before moving into public relations work, where he served as communications director for the Minnesota Hospital Association and later, director of communications and marketing for Fairview Southdale Hospital in Minnesota. Cameron graduated with a journalism degree from the University of North Dakota and holds an MBA from University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.
