Kelly Palmer

Kelly Palmer is a thought leader and advisor on the future of work, company culture, business strategy, and career development. She is a senior advisor for Firework Ventures where she advises ‘future of work’ portfolio companies on culture, talent, and business strategies. She is on the board of directors of Learn In, an upskilling startup, and is also on the executive team of Degreed, an upskilling technology platform. She is the co-author of The Expertise Economy, which focuses on the urgent need to upskill the workforce, which was named one of the best business books of 2019.

Kelly has spent her entire career in Silicon Valley and was previously Chief Learning Officer of LinkedIn, Vice President of Learning at Yahoo! and held executive positions in learning, M&A, and product development at Sun Microsystems. Kelly speaks regularly at companies and conferences around the world and has been featured in Harvard Business Review, Barron’s, Financial Times, Fast Company, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Inc., MIT Management Review, Scientific American, Chief Learning Officer (CLO), and on Bloomberg Radio.

Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in English/Communications and a master’s degree in learning science, education technology, and adult learning theory. She lives in Denver, Colorado.
